alasir Architects in Cooperation with the owner of the project (JCCCC) presented the major design aspects as follows:
- Objectives - integrated and sustainable, create a local model.
- Sustainability - economic to build, run, maintain,& possible to replicate.
- Site & Topography - minimum change to the topography.
- Energy Efficiency - zero energy (renewable energy such as solar and wind may be waste “biodigester”, natural lighting, passive heat, insulation, equipment).
- Water Conservation - rain water harvesting, grey water use, landscape is used to channel water and storage, softscape using native plantation & trees compatible with water needs.
- Materials - local materials, insulation.
- Beauty & Human - opted for modern design, swimming pool (comfort and natural ventilation).
The Committee discussed the major points and will state the involvement of Jordan GBC & the TC in the next meeting.
